iStandard is proud to announce that ASCAP has unleashed its first round of confirmed panelists for this year’s ASCAP “I Create Music” EXPO, April 22-24 in sunny Hollywood, California!
Before we let you in on this star-studded line-up, we have to disclose some more pertinent information about the ASCAP EXPO.
Launched in 2006, the ASCAP “I Create Music” EXPO is the first and only national conference dedicated to songwriting and composing. Selling out in its inaugural year, the EXPO immediately provided a unique opportunity for songwriters, composers, publishers, producers – and those in the industry that support them – to come together in an unprecedented way to share their knowledge and expertise. In its short history, the innovative programming offered to attendees has grown to include celebrity Q&A’s, master classes, songwriting and composing workshops, publisher and business panels, One-on-One sessions, DIY career building workshops, showcases and performances, song feedback panels, state-of-the-art technology demos as well as leading music industry exhibitors. In other words, it’s a must-attend for any producer, artist, writer, composer, manager, attorney, or ANYONE that’s serious about increasing their network…

Now, as we’ve mentioned before – ASCAP & iSTANDARD ARE NOW CALLING ALL PRODUCERS! Submissions for the iStandard Producer Showcase – ASCAP EXPO edition are now open (through April 8, 2010 at 11:59PM EST)! The iStandard Producer Showcase is the premier national music producer specific event, spotlighting aspiring hit-makers in front of a panel of prominent music industry tastemakers. Remember, you must be registered for the ASCAP EXPO in order to be considered for this event!
The ASCAP EXPO iStandard Producer Showcase will occur on Thursday, April 22nd at The Highlands (5th Floor) at 10PM.
The eight EXPO attendees, whose tracks are selected by iStandard, will receive valuable constructive criticism and build relationships with contacts that can assist them in getting ahead in their careers.
The ASCAP EXPO iStandard Producer Showcase promises to up the ante for Hip Hop, R&B, Pop and Dance production for 2010 and beyond. Any producer registered for the ASCAP EXPO can submit their tracks (no full songs!). Even if you aren’t selected to be on the showcase, the ASCAP EXPO iStandard Producer Showcase will be a must attend event for networking, hearing real feedback and finding the next super producer!

To get a jump start on the festivities at the ASCAP EXPO, iStandard is throwing a 2-Night Producer Showcase at the Hollywood Highlands on Tuesday March 23rd and Wednesday March 24th.
